Pilates is a safe and extremely effective way of strengthening the body from the inside, which is why it is so often recommended by doctors and surgeons to people with injuries.
My way of teaching is mat-based and is influenced not only by my training as a Pilates Instructor but by 20 years of studying and exploring anatomy and movement. Every individual has an anatomy unique to them and will therefore have a need to move, stretch, and strengthen their body in an individual way: there is truly no “one size fits all” answer.

My pilates classes are physically challenging but accessible to all, made appropriate to each person by the use of modifications and props. I do not see my job as simply taking people through a series of exercises. I believe that my job as a teacher is to educate students to explore their own abilities and needs and to see what it possible. It gives me great joy to teach young and old, male and female, strong and not-so-strong in the same class and to see how the same Pilates exercises can be appropriate and challenging for them all.
The aim of my classes is for people to feel stronger, more flexible and, most importantly, happier when they leave the class than when they arrived! As well as live classes I have a video catalogue of 60 min Pilates classes available. You can see what's available under the "Videos" tab above.
